That\u2019s what\u2019s in store on this almost 48 km long bike loop. It\u2019s definitely worth the effort! With a view of the enormous Valais and Bernese mountains, you pedal over idyllic Alps, through gnarled larch forests and past sunny mountain villages.<\/p>\n<p>This challenging bike tour starts off at Unterb\u00e4ch with a ride to Eischoll and through the heart of the old village to the top station of the chairlift Striggen. With a wonderful view of the Undri and Obri Senggalp, the route climbs slightly to Undri Eischollalp. There is a short descent on the forest road, followed by an ascent and a nice trail out to the \u2018Gibidum\u2019. As you ride, the (literal) highlight of the tour looms before you: the majestic Bietschhorn.<\/p>\n<p>Refreshed with fresh spring water from the fountain, you\u2019re ready to begin the descent known among mountain bikers as the \u2018Magic Trail\u2019: a natural flow trail that winds its way down to Brandalp. The second part follows an old path through the forest. From Brandalp, the tour leads along the gravel road to sunny B\u00fcrchen. If you still have enough strength in your legs, you can tackle the 500 metres up to Moosalp on the idyllic mountain road. Otherwise the post bus will take you up. Right at the Moosalp \u2013 and with a view of the Saas valley and Mattertal valley with its numerous 4,000-metre peaks \u2013 it\u2019s time for more trail fun: smooth and straightforward to ride, the single trail first leads around the Stand lookout point. From the highest point on the Moosalp high plateau, you can enjoy a panoramic view of twelve four-thousand-metre peaks. Shortly after Breitmatte, things change. The long route through a beautiful larch forest to T\u00f6rbel is a little more demanding in the middle section.<\/p>\n<p>Once you arrive in the village, it\u2019s worth visiting the open-air museum \u2018Urchigs Terbil\u2019. Various buildings such as a typical Valais barn, a mill and a bakehouse showcase different aspects of everyday life in the past in a Valais mountain village. Back in the saddle, a few bends on the road follow \u2013 and on we go on a wonderful trail with two tough uphill climbs to Zeneggen.
