The starting point at Brandalp can be reached by chairlift or on snowshoes. Here you can enjoy delicious local food and drinks at the cosy mountain inn Alpenr\u00f6sli. The snowshoe trail first follows the Women\u2019s Quotation Trail to the Pfammattbr\u00fccke bridge, which crosses the icy Milibach stream. Continue up and down pleasant inclines past small, sun-faded stables and houses through the snow-covered landscape to Breitmattu. You\u2019ll find the Maria Schnee chapel nestling among the group of houses on the right. The portrait of Our Lady on its altar was painted by Raphael Ritz in 1865.<br \/>\nThe snow track branches off to the upper left, passes the large stables and continues in a westerly direction after a few metres. Walk along the Alte Eischlersuon waterway for about half a kilometre up to Ze Stadle. The last half hour of the ascent will get your pulse racing again. At the mountain restaurant Egga, you\u2019ll be served delicious Valais specialities on the sun terrace. About 100 m after the reservoir, the trail branches off onto an access road to the lower right. Follow the forest road for about 50 m and finally turn right onto the second part of the Women\u2019s Quotation Trail through the magnificent spruce and larch forest. Deep in thought as you consider the words of these wise women, you\u2019ll be astonished to find yourself overlooking Unterb\u00e4ch\u2019s rooftops. Let your gaze wander over the villages and mountains one last time and enjoy the impressive atmosphere.
