In winter, everything revolves around the white splendour. With its tranquil but snow-sure 20 kilometres of pistes, the Ginals-Unterbäch ski area is considered an insider tip among connoisseurs. No one jostles at the lifts here, there is room for every skiing style on the wide pistes and winter sports enthusiasts can always find a sunny seat with a panoramic view in the cosy mountain huts.
But there are also many alternatives to skiing in Unterbäch: Probably the most extraordinary experience is a ride on the “Brandalp-Blitz” – a sleek fun-sport device vaguely reminiscent of a milking stool. Those who are less keen on experimenting can also cover the approximately 5 km long route by toboggan. Around the village, outdoor fans can also discover 14 km of signposted winter hiking trails and snowshoe trails. The region is also known for its numerous ski touring possibilities.
