CHILDREN’S HEARTS BEAT FASTER HERE

PLAYGROUNDS

The holiday destination Unterbäch has plenty of adventure playgrounds where families can play, frolic and relax.

SEEPARK AUGSTBORD

Situated on the northern edge of the village of Unterbäch is a beautiful local recreation area with a 1,000m2 lake. The Augstbord lake park, which is fed by the Suon “Unterbächneri”, is 1.5 metres deep and invites you to swim. A circular path suitable for prams and wheelchairs leads around the lake. A water and adventure playground invites you to play and splash around.

SUONEN- UND SUDELPARK

Get wet and wild at the Suonen- and Sudelpark in Unterbäch. What would otherwise be strictly forbidden along the Valais Suon waterways on the hiking trails is actually encouraged here. Children are allowed to divert the water themselves and let it run through wooden and stone channels, over aqueducts and through water wheels to the water basins. Kids can have a refreshing dip in the water basins and frolic to their hearts’ content. With a trampoline, a slide, swings, balancing equipment, a cable car, a sandbox and much more on offer, they can enjoy endless fun. The family-friendly park and playground is in the heart of the village, right above the church. Entry is free.

Opening times: early May to mid-October

“DON BOSCO” PLAYGROUND

The ‘Don Bosco’ playground is part of the Suonen- and Sudelpark. Two Kneipp basins refresh bare feet with flowing water and kids can explore different playground equipment such as swings, seesaws, climbing net and zipline.

At the entrance to the village, on the edge of the forest, you’ll find a great adventure playground with an extra-long slide, ping-pong table and other great play equipment. The ‘Im Brunnen’ playground also offers a spring with drinking water, a fire pit and picnic tables. The perfect place to pop a few sausages on the BBQ with the family.
