LEARN TO SKI TOGETHER
GROUP LESSONS
The Unterbäch ski school offers group lessons for the various Swiss Snow League levels in groups of a maximum of 10 children. If you pass a level, you will receive the corresponding medal and reach the next level. For optimum learning progress, simply choose the appropriate league.
SNOWGARDEN
Ready for your first attempts on the snow? In the well-equipped Swiss Snow Kids Village, children learn how to ski in a playful way under the guidance of our well-trained children’s ski instructors.
- Age: 3 – 8 years
- Course duration: 5 days of 2.5 hours each in group lessons (last day: ski school race)
- Course objective: Walking and braking in the plough
Prices:
– Taster day* 09.30 – 12.00: CHF 50.00
– 1 week (Monday – Friday) 09.30 – 12.00: CHF 210.00Beginners can only join the weekly lessons until Tuesday, as the group is already too advanced at a later stage.
*A taster day can be extended to a whole week at the ski school office
BLUE LEAGUE
In this course, you’ll learn how to ski easy slopes with turns in the plough position and lay the foundations for parallel skiing. Fun and the joy of snow sports are not neglected!
- Age: 4 – 12 years
- Course duration: 5 days of 2.5 hours each in group lessons (last day: ski school race)
- Course objective: plough turning and plough turns
- Prices:
– 1 week (Monday-Friday) 09.30 – 12.00: CHF 210.00
– 1 day CHF 60.- / 2 days CHF 120.- / 3 days CHF 180.- (depending on capacity utilisation and only possible on request)
RED LEAGUE
In this course, you will learn the basics of jumping and how to ski safely and dynamically on medium-difficulty slopes in parallel turns. Now the fun really begins – the fascination of skiing will never let you go!
- Age: 5 – 16 years
- Course duration: 5 days of 2.5 hours each in group lessons (last day: ski school race)
- Course objective: jumping, parallel turns and short turns
- Prices:
– 1 week (Monday-Friday) 09.30 – 12.00: CHF 210.00
– 1 day CHF 60.- / 2 days CHF 120.- / 3 days CHF 180.- (depending on capacity utilisation and only possible on request)
BLACK LEAGUE
The aim of this course is dynamic and safe skiing on all slopes. Afterwards, you will skilfully master parallel turns in unprepared snow. You will also learn to emphasise jumps with a cool trick.
- Age: 8 – 16 years
- Course duration: 5 days of 2.5 hours each in group lessons (last day: ski school race)
- Course objective: Parallel turns in unprepared snow and simple jumps with cool tricks
- Prices:
– 1 week (Monday-Friday) 09.30 – 12.00: CHF 210.00
– 1 day CHF 60.- / 2 days CHF 120.- / 3 days CHF 180.- (depending on capacity utilisation and only possible on request)
IMPORTANT NOTES
- All prices include a tea break, ski school race, souvenir medal, Swiss Snow League classification and VAT, but do not include a ski pass.
- Registration for group lessons is requested by Sunday evening at the latest.
- The ski courses start with 4 children per level.
– With three children the lessons last 1.5 hours.
– With two children the lessons last 1.0 hour.
– Only private lessons are possible for one child. - The meeting point is always at 09.30 am directly at the Swiss Snow Kids Village (Monday already at 9.20 am).
- During the ski lessons, parents are asked to leave the Snowgarden area so that the children can build up trust in their ski instructors more quickly and concentrate fully on the ski lessons.
- The ski school race takes place on Friday at 11.00 am in the Ginals. The beginners start at 10.00 am at the practice lift in the village. The prize-giving ceremony follows at 11.45 am on the Brandalp. For organisational reasons, the ski school race will only take place if there are at least 15 participants. All participants will receive a medal. The ski school race is included in the ski school rates.
- In the high season, it is possible that individual classes will be held in the afternoon. In this case, parents will be informed immediately.
- Due to low demand, we do not normally offer group lessons for snowboarders. There is the option of either booking private lessons or the minimum number of 4 participants.
