You won’t encounter stress, noise, long queues at the lifts or overcrowded slopes at the Unterbäch ski resort. Instead, you’ll find a beautiful landscape and magnificent panoramic views of the highest Swiss mountains. Ski and chair lifts whisk snow sports enthusiasts up to over 2,500 m above sea level, where 20 km of slopes guarantee pure skiing fun for beginners and advanced skiers.
The family-friendly ski resort offers guaranteed snow. The Unterbäch Ski School’s ‘Swiss Snow Kids Village’ offers a magic carpet, seesaws, jumps and rails as well as a ski carousel. And if you feel like switching resorts, simply use the ski bus.

MAGIC PASS
Sportbahnen Unterbäch has been part of the Magic Pass since 01 May 2023. This new year-round leisure pass replaces the classic regional winter season ticket “Around Visp”. Whether you prefer hiking, skiing, mountain biking or sledding, the offer in the 69 winter and 31 summer destinations is versatile and invites you to discover and try it out

The ski lifts of Sportbahnen Unterbäch are open from 23 December 2023 to 7 January 2024 and from 27 January 2024 to 1 April 2024 from 9.15 am to 4 pm. The chairlift Unterbäch – Brandalp will be open until 4.30 pm.
In the low season from 8 to 26 January 2024, the lift operation will be reduced to 10.00 to 15.00 from Monday to Thursday. The chairlift Unterbäch – Brandalp runs until 4.30 pm.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING FOR EVERYONE
The Swiss Ski and Snowboard School in Unterbäch offers a varied programme of courses and entertainment for all ages and levels. Experienced ski instructors teach kids how to handle skis or snowboards in a fun and playful way. The Unterbäch Ski School is also the perfect place for adult beginners, or those who feel a little rusty and fancy taking their first steps out on the snow with a professional.
WINTER FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
’It’s quick and easy to reach kids’ winter wonderland ‘Swiss Snow Kids Village’, which is located in town’. With the magic carpet, even baby skiers can zip up the slopes. Attractions like the ski carousel, seesaws, jumps and rails will delight little ones on downhill runs. They help children and budding snow sports enthusiasts learn how to ski on stunning snow with ease – and have fun doing it, too. The Swiss Snow Kids Village is set up during Christmas/New Year and the sports holidays.

Night skiing
For all skiers who can’t get enough of the slopes in Unterbäch during the day, night skiing is available every Tuesday in the main season from 4.30 – 7.00 p.m. for CHF 5.00. The pistes are lit up at the practice lift in the village. In February, Snowli & Friends accompany the night skiing.
WANT A CHANGE OF SCENERY?
Sportbahnen Unterbäch ski pass and/or ‘Upper Valais region’ guest card holders can use the ski bus Unterbäch – Eischoll – Bürchen free of charge. For all other guests the ski bus costs CHF 5.00 per trip.
