HIKING TOUR NO. 2
BRANDALP-STRYGGE-SUSPENSION BRIDGE CIRCULAR HIKE
The circular hike leads from Unterbäch to Brandalp and back, via Egga and Holz. The path can be taken in both directions. Just after the village of Unterbäch, you’ll come upon the Hohegga lookout point. A little detour there is well worth your while. After the relatively steep ascent via Egga, we recommend taking a break at the Alpenrösli restaurant on Brandalp. Afterwards, follow the road until the turn-off to the hiking trail towards Holz. A special highlight of the hike is the Holz chapel, which dates from the beginning of the 18th century and is dedicated to St. Bartholomew. From here you hike on to Eischoll Strygge. A visit to the newly built Egga restaurant is worthwhile. The circular route continues to Eischoll village. At the eastern entrance to the village is the entrance to the Milibach suspension bridge, which leads back towards Unterbäch. Alternatively, the chairlifts Unterbäch-Brandalp or Strygge-Eischoll can be used for the ascent and descent.
