UNTERBÄCH – BÜRCHEN

Route: Unterbäch – Bürchen (or vice versa)
A visit to the neighbouring village of Bürchen, home of Olympic champion Ramon Zenhäusern, is worthwhile at any time of year. It takes a good hour’s hike to reach the Birkendorf from the Brandalp. To the left of the Brandalp mountain station, the trail starts on a wide forest path and ends on an asphalt road with little traffic. At the end of the road in the hamlet of Nässjere, a barbecue area awaits you on the banks of a small pond. The entire hike can be done with prams. On the way, the children repeatedly encounter playground equipment (theme trail “Moosalbi and the forest animals”). On Wednesdays, you can take the hiking bus back to Unterbäch.
