HOW TO REACH US
ARRIVAL
The small but beautiful holiday destination of Unterbäch is located in the heart of the Upper Valais and is easily accessible from all four directions. If you travel by public transport, the NEAT base tunnel saves you an hour and the Raron-Unterbäch aerial cableway takes you directly to the village centre.
ARRIVAL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Travellers take the train to Raron and reach the valley station of the aerial cableway (LRU), which runs every half hour, after about 5 minutes on foot. In 8 minutes, the 25-seater cabin of the aerial cable car takes you to the Valais mountain village of Unterbäch with a view of the spectacular Löibbach gorge.
ARRIVAL BY PRIVATE TRANSPORT
Unterbäch can be reached by car all year round via Turtmann or Visp in about 20 minutes. Motorists from the north travel via Bern through the Lötschberg tunnel (BLS car transport), from the east and south through or over the Furka (MGB car transport) or through or over the Simplon (BLS car transport). From the west, Unterbäch can be reached via Lausanne along the Rhone valley to Turtmann or Visp and from there to Unterbäch. It is possible to park in the public car park. Season tickets can be obtained directly from the ticket office after entering the car park.

AAs a LRU customer, you benefit from free parking in Raron when you arrive in Unterbäch by cable car. Your parking ticket will be refunded by the LRU on arrival in Unterbäch.
